Holloway was criticized for her focus on Joran van der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers, to the exclusion of any other theory as to what happened to Natalee.
According to the lawsuit filed by the Kalpoe brothers, she has (on various television programs) repeatedly accused them, and Joran van der Sloot, of "sexual assault" and "gang rape" of her daughter.
Unfortunately, the Holloway family had to experience this firsthand, and even though it’s been more than a decade since Natalee’s disappearance, they will surely continue to need our support and prayers.
“Natalee could be your loved one, and you could be me.” Holloway explained that her daughter was a bright young woman with a full ride to college and dreams of attending medical school.
Holloway’s mother, Beth, recently spoke at the Women’s Foundation of Collier County’s Power of the Purse luncheon in Florida, according to Gulf Shore Life, and her inspiring announcement reflected incredible strength in the face of horror, sadness and adversity.
“After all I have been through, I have every right to crawl in a hole and never come out,” Holloway said to the crowd of more than 200.
Beth Holloway married college classmate David Edward "Dave" Holloway and settled in Jackson, Mississippi.
They had a daughter Natalee Ann, who was born in Clinton, Mississippi in 1986, and a younger son Matthew.
She also established the Natalee Holloway Resource Center in Washington, D.
